Day 19 Planting and Tending Your Garden SEED OF TRUTH Read Ephesians 4:4-8. Listen carefully. What were you called to? What are you a part of? Reread verse 4. God’s heart is for Christians to live in unity with one another, remembering that we are all a part of one body. We must do whatever we can to preserve the unity of the body and to remind ourselves that we are not an army of one. We are a part of the body of Christ. “There is one body and one Spirit – just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call – one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all” (Ephesians 4:4-6). PLANT THE SEED Quietly recite today’s focus verse to yourself. Hide it in your heart and meditate on it throughout the day. Ephesians 4:7 “But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” WATER THE SEED But God has given each of us the grace we need to do our part. Are you actively fulfilling your role in the body? Do you give of your time, talent, and treasure? Are you part of a group of believers? We are not to be like Jack Bauer, doing it all on our own, but rather to do what He has called us to do in Him and in fellowship. Second Corinthians 12:9 says, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” God’s grace in Paul empowered him in his weakness. That same grace was given to you – according to the measure of Christ’s gift! “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8). God’s grace provides all we need so that we can truly say God is enough! He is my All in All! Is this how you see yourself or your circumstances? Do you believe this truth? BEAR THE FRUIT Grace is given to those who are in Christ. CLOSE IN PRAYER Ask the Lord to bring to life all that has been planted in your heart today.
There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. This is why it says: “When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.”
Ephesians 4:4-8 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/eph.4.4-8.NIV
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christʼs power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/2co.12.9.NIV
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”

Day 12 Planting and Tending Your Garden SEED OF TRUTH Read Ephesians 2:8-10. This passage of scripture tells us that our salvation is a gift of God. Have you fully and gratefully received this gift? There may be times when you feel unworthy of it, or you may even take it for granted. Read verse 8, slowly, one word at a time. How did you come to receive this gift of salvation? It is by grace – unmerited, undeserved, unearned favor. You have been given this grace because of God’s great love and rich mercy. It is given for a purpose, one that God has planned. PLANT THE SEED Quietly recite today’s focus verse to yourself. Hide it in your heart and meditate on it throughout the day. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” WATER THE SEED Consider what it means to be His workmanship. Everything – your life circumstances, your personality, your talents, your strengths, and your weaknesses – has contributed to who you are and who you have been chosen to be in Christ. Take time today to thank God for His workmanship in you! Ask Him to help you see how He has gifted you to bless the body of Christ. Listen and observe. Ask Him to give you wisdom and understanding. Follow Him as He leads you in the path of righteousness and patiently allow Him to lead. May you be encouraged! BEAR THE FRUIT Created for good works. CLOSE IN PRAYER Ask the Lord to bring to life all that has been planted in your heart today.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Day 7 Planting and Tending Your Garden SEED OF TRUTH Read Ephesians 1:1-10. Look back through the passage and make a mental list of your spiritual blessings in Christ. Is there one blessing that really touches you today? As you see all of these, speak them to your heart and make them personal. For example: “I was chosen before the foundation of the world.” PLANT THE SEED Quietly recite today’s focus verse to yourself. Hide it in your heart and meditate on it throughout the day. Ephesians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.” WATER THE SEED Consider what it means to be blessed in Christ with every spiritual blessing. Take 2-3 minutes to prayerfully think about how you could approach your day today with this in mind. When you have a moment of decision or a crisis today, recite your verse quietly to yourself. Then go forward in faith, believing “God has blessed me in Christ with every spiritual blessing.” Trust in His strength and remember His love for you. BEAR THE FRUIT Blessed with every spiritual blessing. CLOSE IN PRAYER Ask the Lord to bring to life all that has been planted in your heart today.
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
