Those That Seek Him

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6 KJV

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 11:29 KJV

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2 Peter 1:1 KJV

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2 Peter 1:2‭-‬3 KJV

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:5‭-‬8 KJV

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
2 Peter 3:16 KJV

Faith Without Works Is Dead

Action-Oriented FAITH

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
James 2:14‭-‬17 NIV

Revolving the tension between the role of faith and works is a big part of spiritual formation for the believer. Paul made it clear that our works cannot save us, so that no one can ever boast that he or she earned salvation ( Ephesians 2:8-10). On the other hand, James said that if that faith is not accompanied by God- honoring, fruit- bearing actions, that faith might as well not even exist. That kind of ” faith” is not the faith in Jesus that leads to salvation but simply a comfortable, cognitive belief that, in the end, accomplishes nothing for the one who holds it. It’s the kind of ” faith” that resembles the real thing but has no staying power. When suffering comes, this ” faith” often evaporates quickly.

FAITH that leads to salvation is like a two-sided coin. On one side is genuine repentance, where the penitent sinner comes to God, acknowledging his or her sin, hoping for mercy; the other side of the coin is faith, the belief that God is able and willing to save the broken- hearted sinner through the atoning work of Christ on the cross.

Faith In The Way Of The Lord

You come faithfully from your land unto another, bring with you your new FAITH in one one true GOD. And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law. And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.
Ruth 1:15‭-‬18 KJV Ruth once had many God’s now have chosen the one true as GOD.

There are many blessings given by GOD for those who are faithful.

And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore. The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.
Ruth 2:11‭-‬12 KJV

And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the Lord , who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen.
Ruth 2:20 KJV

One woman’s FAITH has seen what GOD gives in return.

Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day. And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Beth–lehem: And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the Lord shall give thee of this young woman. So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bare a son. And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the Lord , which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel. And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him. And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it. And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David. Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron, And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab, And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon, And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed, And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.
Ruth 4:10‭-‬22 KJV

My Help Cometh From The Lord

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord , which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
Psalms 121:1‭-‬8 KJV

ISIS would have you believe they speak God’s word

If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.  Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 1:26‭-‬27 KJV
“Isis say they speak for all Muslims”, but they don’t. The first people kill by Isis was Muslims. I’ve  listen to my pastor and others who say Islam is an evil religion, however the same can be said about Christianity or Judaism. One thing I have notice is simply this, you have a few thousand miss guided people who are angry with there own lives, that they have convince themselves that all the problems that they are experiencing are the fault of the United States. Instead of looking to God who knows all and see all, they want to destroy all that is right with the world. They manage to high jack a religious faith while those who practice this religion do not fight back.

I’m trying to understand how you can have 1.6 billion people practice Islamic faith as well as 2.3 billion Christians faith and 4.5 million Judaism faith, and between all of our religions  we are having one heck of a time trying to rid ourselves of a few thousand who has terrorized the entire world. Exactly what part have I missed?

There is something I have notice though 1933 the rise of Hitler, people believed his garbage and he caused WWII. Is Isis trying to do the same? I was reading Revelation today and God was speaking to me, none of it good.

Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.  John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 1:2‭-‬6 KJV

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.   I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.  I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.  I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,  Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.  And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;  And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.  His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;  And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.  And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.  And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:   I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.   Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;   The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Revelation 1:7‭-‬20 KJV

My Lord and Savior tells me hell on earth has come but it will get worse as he has told it so long ago. Heed my words children of God get right now, the time is at hand.

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.   But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.   Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Matthew 10:32‭-‬34 KJV

Unshakable Mom

Fearless Through the Storm”
Where I grew up, I learned a thing or two about storms. From insane bipolar weather, to tornados ripping cities to shreds – never a dull moment. When you live in an area that is prone to horrific weather, you build a safeguard. Your home is built on a firm foundation, and you have a plan. It’s just the standard of life when you live with the risk of storms.
We’ve been talking about building an unshakable foundation. One that can stand the test of time, that is built firmly on the word of God. But are you safeguarding for when the storms come? Because it’s inevitable, the storms of life will come. It’s easy to say you’re unshakable when all is well, but we know that storms are coming or maybe you’re in one now.
In Luke 8, Jesus is out on a boat with his disciples. A huge storm takes over and is filling their boat with water, threatening to pull them under. All the while, Jesus is napping. I’ve always found this story to be interesting, because this was a quick storm. There were no meteorologists warning them a storm was coming, and they must not have seen any warnings in the sky. I imagine they set sail and it was sunny and out of nowhere, the storm came. A storm to test their faith. I took a trip to Israel a few years ago and got to sail on a boat across the sea of Galilee, the same place where Jesus calmed the storm in that boat.  To my surprise, the Sea of Galilee really is just a small lake. You can see from one side to the other, so this storm really did catch them of guard because they wouldn’t have sailed out had it been bad weather.
“Where’s your faith?”, Jesus asked them when they woke him.
How often do you hear that phrase whispered in your ear? How often do you walk out in the sunshine and you’re hit by a storm out of nowhere that rips your faith away? Maybe you’re battling the unthinkable. Your storm may be more than you think you can handle. You’re begging God –  “just wake up and rescue me!”, and He’s asking “where is your faith?”.
Are you ready to stand fearless in your storm? Stand firm in the beautiful truth that Christ has already conquered them all!

Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.  But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.  And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.  And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

Luke 8:22‭-‬25 KJV

Childlike Faith

What did you about the Lord when you were a child?

What has changed in your view of Him since then?

Have the changes all been positive? If not, why not?

As for me he was my friend I was five years old, I remember because my foster father wanted to adopt me and I told him and the case worker Ms. Wilson no. Needless to say they ask why? I told them Jesus said you were going to die and was going home. But I asked Jesus if I could to with you and he said no. I asked why? He said he had something for me to do. I said okay what was it? And he said not now it is not time. So I said okay, well that was 48 years ago. I’m still waiting except that now I’m writing about Jesus Christ with the hope that other people will find him. And not do as I did. I got so angry with Jesus that I walked away from thinking I could run this race call life all by myself. Well I’m here to tell you, No you can’t do anything without Jesus Christ. It took me 40 years 8 wars later to realize Yes I Need Jesus Christ in my life. Let me put it this way when I fell on my face, I fell hard this time what brought me back to Jesus, I had a stroke and heart attack. Listen people when God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit want your attention sometimes, not all the time, they will knock you dead on your butt. A few years ago my youngest son when through the same thing except he had seizures, not heart attack and stroke. But what he told me was enough to make him give all his blessings to Jesus. Do not do as I did talk with Jesus even if it is to just say the greeting of the day.

Seeking a Blessing
Luke 18:15

And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it they rebuked them.

Do Not Hinder
Luke 18:16-17
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God
Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a child shall in no wise enter therein.

How can children be hindered from entering into the Kingdom?

Why does one need childlike Faith in order to enter the kingdom?

Childlike Faith
Mark 10:13-16
And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased,  and said unto them, suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not :for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a child shall in no wise enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

What was Jesus emotional response to the disciples restrictive actions?

How does Jesus want us to imitate children in our faith?

What is the difference between childlike and childish faith?

How could your faith be more childlike?

What does it mean to “receive the Kingdom”?

Complete Trust

Our faith is tied to our understanding of God’s faithfulness. Like a child, we are called to trust and rest firmly in His care, to hear His word, then trust it; however, the confidence to do so relies upon our willingness to completely surrender. Like a child free of care, we are no longer burdened by the weights that we were 8ntened to shoulder alone when we allow our trust to firmly rest in the faithfulness and loving care of our heavenly Father.

How childlike is your faith in God?

Where are you not trusting Him completely?

With the faith of  a child, renew your trust in Him and fully receive the Kingdom.
