We Are Children Of GOD

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 4:4 KJV

Doing What Is Right

How do you know if you are doing what is or just by God?

Or are you doing your own will?

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Matthew 4:4‭, ‬7‭-‬7‭, ‬10‭, ‬17‭-‬17‭, ‬19 KJV

Satan has his own little imps helping him go to and fro killing as many souls as possible. I ask this question because, God said go and teach all Nations, but if this is so, than why are the only ones who read this blog are ones who already believe in God the Father?

How do I know this is what the Lord wants of me? I was reading a book earlier yesterday 01242018 called Islam And The Bible Why Two Faiths Collide by David Goldmann. It got me thinking, as I do have a very active imagination, is this doing right by GOD or am I doing my own will? In reading this book I found that I agree with some of what was written but other stuff was just crazy to me. As a Christian and one who has friends of many Faiths I found Islam contradicts itself quit a bit. So how do I know if what I’m about to do will be of my will or God’s will?

I have nothing against my Muslim brother and sister, however I do have some question.

  1. How is it that Muhammad while living in Mecca act and do one way? And in Medina he acted and did another?
  2. Why are Jews and Christians hated so much when we all are God’s children created in his image?
  3. Why are we as a people always killing one another in the name of the most high?
  4. If we as a people are God’s children then what are we fight for, and how are we allowing Satan so much power over us?

God has given us free will to choose our owe path, but it seem to me, saving souls of the world is secondary to wanting riches on earth instead of being in paradise with God. Back to this book, not to slam the Islamic FAITH but, for a religion that is 600 years after Christianity something is amidst. The Quaran is base off of Muhammad belief he received his words from God. I have know doubt this may be. However, you don’t go from loving you fellow brother and sister to acting in your own will. In short doing Satan will. Killing and maiming people who do not wish to convert. Like I had said earlier I do not wish to piss off my Muslim brothers and sisters, but something is definitely amidst here. Now I’m not saying that Christianity is faultless because we have our own crazy notions of what God wants us to do. So of our own preachers regardless whether their catholic, Protestant, Latherian, Methodists or some other form of Christianity, it’s all the same. Jewish FAITH is not immune. We all have radical persons who take things to the extreme. That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 5:45‭, ‬48 KJV

Since God created this world we have been killing one another with little to know remorse, at what point are we as God’s children going to obey the law he wrote thou shall not kill? Just wondering. I have Jewish, Muslim and Christian friends and do not wish to see your soul damn because as a people we can not love one to another just because we believe differently. At the end if the day we are more alike that different.

3 years ago I decide to take a DNA test what found was I must say very interesting. We are so interconnected that it’s not funny. That as a black woman I did think was possible. I think everyone should take one. Ancestry.com is a great site to start with, but it’s the caucus area that got my attention. I found out that everyone has -2% of this in there DNA unless of course you were born in the area of Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, or wht was call the old Persia area of the times because maps changed. Syria, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Egypt area is in our DNA. This was should say interesting. Everyone has it, so we are a creation of God. So if we are killing each other than we are in a since killing God with every blow. How do we as a people explain to our heavenly Father we killed just because we can there by killing him piece by piece.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalms 139:23‭-‬24 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.139.23-24.KJV Everlasting to what? Are we so disdain of one another that we feel the same about God ? Or do we love him only when it suits us.

I was taught as a child by my dad, that there is no color no difference in people that we are as one. However over time as I grew and the first person called me a nigga as a 5 year old, I asked my dad what that mean. He is ignorance but the grown man who called you the is the ignorant one for God loves you and so do I. And hatred still remains within people.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
Deuteronomy 6:5‭-‬8 KJV

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
Matthew 5:3‭-‬23 KJV

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Matthew 28:18‭-‬20 KJV

Unshakeable Moms

Please forgive me I was suppose to have this posted yesterday. Been under the weather as of last. Happy Mother’s day to the worlds mothers. We have a job God has gifted us with, one of pride and joy. Thank you Jesus for a beautiful gift.

“Sure Foundation”

Insecurity is probably the worst feeling in the world. It robs you of confidence, rest, and freedom. Just talking about the word floods my mind with so many memories. Being a little girl, afraid of the dark, peeking my eyes just above the covers to see if there really was a monster in my room. As a new kid at school, not knowing a soul, wondering if I would ever find a friend. Auditioning for a musical, nervous and afraid I would forget song lyrics. Picking an outfit for a date, hoping to impress and hold his interest. The day we purchased our first home, wondering if we were grownup enough to handle the responsibility. The way I felt the day we brought home our first baby, and the overwhelming reality that we were responsible for his very life. Each of those moments all caused me to feel unsure, and creating a deep desire for something solid to stand on and keep me steady no matter what.

So often, I set my feet upon my circumstances. It’s easy to do, because we naturally make agreements with what we can touch and see. For example: If our child has behavior problems in school, it would be easy to then label him a problem child or yourself a bad mom. If a dream falls apart, it would be natural to feel lost and lose sight of your identity. But we’re not called to live by human nature. We are called to walk by the Spirit, and in order to do that we have to stand on a sure foundation. One that’s been tested and approved. One we know won’t ever be shaken by the quaking and shifting of life. If we stand on what we can see with human eyes, we will constantly shift with an ever changing world. That’s not a life anchored in Jesus. In fact, the bible calls that childish. We are called to grow up into Christ in all things. He is the security we are called to build our lives upon.

What are you standing on today? What are you building your life upon? When the world is afraid of the dark, hiding under the covers, you can be unshakable; shining like a beacon in the night. You can walk through uncertain days because He is your sure foundation.

Isaiah 28:16

16Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

Every summer we take a vacation with our family. Every mom know that “family” and “vacation” are two words that should never go together, right? Once you become a parent, a vacation is hard work. But some of the sweetest memories come out of those exhausting vacation days together as a family, refueling and refreshing your souls to dig back into life together.

When I vacation – I realize a major clash between our culture’s version of rest and Jesus’ version of it. We are so prone to run to anything and everything BUT Christ for our refreshment. We spend our R&R laying by the pool (or chasing our kids around the pool with a bottle of sunscreen and yelling “please stop running!” for the thousandth time), watching movies, shopping and spending outrageous amounts of money on theme parks. During Jesus’ earthly ministry His rest looked quite a bit different. The Bible talks about how Jesus would get away and rise early to pray and spend time alone with His father.

Not that there is anything wrong with those fun things, but what if we escaped the mindset that we NEEDED those worldly indulgences to feel refueled? What if we stopped giving in to the whispers that tell us “it’s ok, you deserve it!”? Jesus carried more weight on his shoulders than any of us can ever imagine. Did He run to Starbucks or his chocolate stash at the end of a long day because that was the only way He could get by? No, He ran to the arms of his father. We can learn a lot from His example of where our refueling comes from. And get in line behind my friends, because I hold my chocolate stash very dear to my heart.

Whenever we are in need of refueling this week, let’s turn to the source. The source that keeps us unshakable through anything. I find that when I say no to personal indulgences to say yes to Him, I find all the strength I need. Psalm 16:11 says it so well: “You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever”. May you find your refueling and refreshment in Him alone, sisters!

Psalms 16:11

11Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

We just bought a old 1930’s cabin in the woods. It’s a major fixer upper and in need of a lot of TLC. Thankfully, my husband is extremely handy. He can fix just about anything, make just about anything, and solve just about any problem that we’ve encountered with our vintage abode. We had confidence going into this remodel because we knew the house had been built well and right. Not only does it have a strong foundation, but it also has great bones. It’s made from sturdy and strong materials that have stood the test of 8 decades. In fact, some of the wood used to build its structure is so hard, we’ve struggled to hammer even the most heavy duty nails. It is solid, to say the least.

A firm foundation is only the starting point. The builder, design, method, and materials used to build the house determine it’s ability to stand the test of time. Stop for a moment and ask yourself this: who is building your house? Not only is Jesus the sure foundation, but He’s also the expert builder and the cornerstone that holds the house together. He is the architect and has created the blueprint for an eternal dwelling. He is building a kingdom that will last forever, and He wants to build it in and through you.

In 1 Corinthians 3, Paul gives a warning to the church. “Remember, there is only one foundation, the one already laid: Jesus Christ. Take particular care in picking out your building materials. Eventually there is going to be an inspection. If you use cheap or inferior materials, you’ll be found out.” Paul is telling us that anything but Jesus will be swallowed up in the storms of life. Even the most beautiful decor can’t hide shoddy construction. Eventually, time will tell.

Don’t we all desire to be confident mothers? No fear of the future, and no worry about how to get there. No concern over provision. No restless nights wondering if all you’ve built will crumble under the weight of the world. There is freedom for you right now. If you want to be an unshakable, joyful, kingdom building mom, you need only follow Jesus. He is the expert, and He’s already carried the burden upon His shoulders. Breathe deeply of His grace today and walk confidently knowing He is building something incredible in you.

Psalms 127:1-3

1Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
3Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

The precepts and promises of GOD are here given to “US All”.  “ALL” those who thirst after happiness that these things are given to you.

Isaiah 55:6-9, Luke 13:25-27- 16:26, Ezekiel 16:5-6, Jeremiah 31:18, Isaiah 55:1

6. Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will Abundantly pardon.

8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9. For as the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
