A Quest For God’s Purpose

Caring about something special is a part of my purpose.

You might like a lot of things, but God put something very special in your heart to care about. That special care can make your whole heart bring glory to God. You might care about animals that are sick, or people who are sad. You might care about fixing things that are broken or even inventing new things! Try to find out what your heart really cares about. When you think about your special care, pray about it and praise God that He put something special in your heart.

Tell Someone : What is something special God gave you to care about? For me there is a piece of land I want to buy to build on for my family and friends, as well as a church to the glory of God. With all his praise and grace this to shall come to past.

Psalms 103:1

1. Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Chronicles 7: 11-12

11. Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord, and the King’s house: and all that came into Solomon’s  heart to make in the house of the Lord, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.

12. And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

Purpose Clue : knowing God’s word reminds  me of my purpose. The Bible tells you to hide God’s word in your heart. When you do that, your heart will know what is true and good.

It has taken me some time to finish this piece, as I study the word of God.

What  you are made to do is called your purpose. God’s purpose for you is to bring him glory. Everyone brings God glory in a different way.  God gives you clues to find out what your way to bring Him glory is.

Day 1

Purpose clue #1: My purpose makes others think about God

Think about it. You can choose to bring God  glory,  or to bring yourself glory. When you bring God glory, you help others first and make God’s heart happy. When you bring yourself  glory, you put yourself first and other people cannot learn about God from you. It’s good to think about how God has made you special, but remember not to think about yourself all the time!

Tell Someone: How you can help others think about God’s mighty name?

Psalms 115:1

Not unto us. O Lord, not unto us, but thy name give glory, for the mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.

Day 2

No reading today! Except Ask God what He made you good at?

Day 3

Purpose Clue #2 : Something I am good at is part of my purpose.

God  can use what you are good at to glorify Himself in amazing ways Think about Bezalel. God made Bezalel  a great artist. Bezalel used his art skills to work with artists to make beautiful decorations, furniture, robes, and fragrances. These artworks were placed in God’s special tent called the tabernacle. When people visited the tabernacle, the beautiful  decorations, furniture, robes, and fragrances made them think about how wonderful and mighty God is. What Bezalel was good at was part of his purpose to bring glory to God.

Exodus 31.:1-11

1. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2.  See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: 3. And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,  4. To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 5. And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship. 6. And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee; 7. The tabernacle of the congregatio, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle, 8. And the table of his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense, 9. And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot, 10.  And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office, 11. And the anointing oil, and sweet incense for the holy place: according to all that I commanded thee shall they do.

Psalms 115:1

Day 6

God has a path for you. When you think of Him first, God will help you on the path that brings Him glory. He will help you think of others first when you do what you are good at. When it is hard for you to think of others first because you are tired, sad, angry, or afraid, God will help you if you ask Him to. He will make you strong and show you the right way to bring glory to His name.

Think: When has God helped you to be strong?
